Will You See the New Captain America Movie?

will you see the new captain america movie

All indications point to the new Captain America movie being highly anticipated. The first movie in this Marvel franchise, 2011′s Captain America: The First Avenger, made over $370 million at box offices worldwide. The sequel, titled Captain America: The Winter Soldier, is set to be released April 4, 2014. The brand new trailer for the movie was just released yesterday for the Super Bowl, and it has already gotten over 4 million views online. Captain America kind of gets lost in the super hero movie world these days behind Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Wolverine, and the other X-Men, but it’s clear that there are quite a few people out there who have a warm place in their hearts for Captain America. The new trailer shows us a lot of the action that’s going to take place in the new movie, which is going to look great in 3D and on IMAX, but there’s not a lot of detail on the plot. You can easily gather that there’s this guy named The Winter Soldier who has a metal arm and is really strong and wants to kill Captain America and blow things up. Captain America has to get some help from his friend Falcon and the seductive Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johansson). Is your money on a happy ending?

One of the things that’s frustrating about these comic book movies is that you can’t help but wonder why someone doesn’t just shoot the villain. Like in this Captain America trailer, why don’t they just get a marksman with a nice rifle to shoot this Winter Soldier from a distance? Why try to take this guy down by throwing a shield at him? This isn’t Ancient Greece. Or if they want to be creative, find a high powered magnet to get his metal arm stuck to. It reminds me of that movie The Dark Knight Rises from a few years ago. Throughout the whole movie, Batman was trying to beat Bane up with his fists, and then at the end of the movie, Catwoman finally comes along and just shoots Bane to get rid of him, but not before he almost nuked the whole city. Why didn’t someone just shoot him at the beginning of the movie? I’m going to laugh if at the end of this new Captain America movie, Scarlett Johansson’s character ends the narrative abruptly by shooting Winter Soldier when he’s not looking. How anticlimactic that would be. Checkout the trailer below.
